Aureum is the Latin word for “gold, golden”. Golden is also the colour of the instrument, whose origins go back to the 19thcentury. An attractive mix of contemporary and Baroque music with, naturally, jazz music as the one most typical for the saxophone will be presented by four excellent Austrian performers.
Born in 1990 in Wolfsberg, Carinthia, MARTINA STÜCKLER discovered her passion for music as a nine-year-old. As a solo and orchestral player she has performed with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Symfonieorkest Carpe Diem, Riga Chamber Winds and others. In addition, she often plays with the Vienna Philharmonic, Wiener Symphoniker and the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra.
teaches saxophone and clarinet at a special music school. He has received a number of prizes at competitions such as Prima la Musica and is active in several orchestras and big bands as a soloist. He has recorded numerous CDs, radio and TV recordings. He is a member of bands Die Ranzler and Die MusikKanten.
was born in 1996 in Lower Austria. As an eight-year-old she started playing the piano, followed by saxophone two years later. Viola has won numerous prizes, e.g. at the competitions Prima la Musica, Allegro Vivo, Musica Juventutis. As a solo player or as an orchestra member she has played with Tonkünstler Orchester Niederösterreich, Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra, Wiener Symphoniker and many chamber ensembles.
