Motifs of music and motifs of the urban landscape have formed part of Harangozó’s work for a long time. The exhibition Music and the City takes place in Banská Štiavnica at the same time as the Festival of Nice Music. It cosists of works inspired by Banská Štiavnica and works expressing the beauty and energy of music.
Associate Professor and academic painter Stanislav Harangozó was born on the 19th November 1946 in Komjatice. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava under Professors Dezider Milly, Vincent Hložník and Orest Dubay in 1967–1973, later teaching at the Academy until 1990. In 1990–2020 he worked at the Faculty of Education of Comenius University in Bratislava. He has created a large number of monumental artworks. His works are exhibited both in Slovakia and abroad. He is a member of the Slovak Art Forum, Slovak Union of Visual Arts and the Club of Artists and Theoreticians.
